Eating problems in children usually is "difficult to eat". If it is not soon resolved, it can cause child malnutrition and may disturb the growth and development of the child. In addition, children of school age are generally often do not have breakfast for various reasons, for example, they are not accustomed to having breakfast, rushing off to go to school, or girls who want to have slim body, and so on. 

Habit of not breakfast in children will lead to an empty stomach and reduce blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia), causing weakness, drowsy, difficult to accept the lesson, and the decline of interest in learning and the ability to respond.

The detailed nutritional problems that often happen in the community include:

1. Lack of Protein Calories
Protein-calorie deficiency is generally experienced by children from poor families with less economic status because animal food is relatively expensive and not affordable.

2. Lack of Vitamin A
Children are generally less fond of vegetables and fruits which are major sources of vitamins, so it often leads to avitaminose A.

3. Iron Nutritional Anemia 
Iron is abundant in animal foods and dark green vegetables. Children from poor families and those who do not like vegetables will be at risk of iron deficiency (anemia).

4. Iodine Deficiency Disorder
Iodized salt is an attempt to prevent people from iodine deficiency.
The emergences of the nutritional problems are caused by lack of various foods consumption, wrong understanding of the types of food, irregular diet and lifestyle.
