Cataracts
A cataract is a clouding of the lens of the eye, which gradually loses its transparency. When blurring of vision becomes severe, vision in the affected eye is often described as “looking through milky water”.
Surgery to remove the lens and replace it with an implant is a highly successful treatment, usually done on an outpatient basis.
