Anamnesis is interview done to someone which aims to collect data from a person or a patient.

Anamnesis is usually done in the field of health and psychology. It can be done by a doctor to the patient, a nurse to the patient, and a psychologist to their clients.

The objectives of anamnesis are:

1. Establish Relationship between a Doctor and the Patient
How to establish a doctor-patient relationship:
a. Do feedback with greetings
b. Be friendly and polite
c. Maintain a relaxed atmosphere but also serious
d. Speak clearly
e. Use language that is easily to be understood by the patient 
f. Dig detailed information
g. Be a good listener
h. Know nonverbal language
i. Note the results of the interview
j. Do feedback
k. Do cross-checking
l. Be neutral to the patient
m. Interview is unlike interrogation

2. Explore Medical Information
To explore medical information, it can be asked:
a. Main complaint
b. Identity and personal data relating to the background of the patient.
c. Complaint system in all body systems by asking the perceptible and imperceptible possibilities, without exploring the complaints about the duration, quality and quantity, starting from the related system to the other system complaints, also do not become a history of present illness, past and family.
