Illumination and Lighting of Working Environment
Poor lighting in the workplace not only will increase the workload, because it interferes with the work implementation, but also will give the impression of less hygienic. By good lighting, it will allow workers to be able to see objects clearly and avoid work mistakes.
Another consequence of the poor lighting in the work environment is that it will lead to physical and mental fatigue for employees. Physical and mental fatigue symptoms include headaches, intellectual ability reduction, concentration and speed of thought reduction.
Regarding to the cases above, in building workplaces such as factories, offices, schools, etc., Should observe the following provisions:
1. The distance among the buildings or other structures does not interfere with the entry of sunlight to workplace.
2. The windows and vents to the entry of sunlight should be enough, entirely at least 1/6 of building area.
3. If the sunlight is insufficient to the workplace, it must be replaced with sufficient lighting of lamps.
4. Workplace lighting does not cause heat temperature of the room (not exceed of 32C)
5. Light sources may not cause glare and shadows that interfere with work.
6. The light source should generate fixed, spread and not blinking lighting.
