Meanwhile, therapeutic is treatment or medication process.
So, therapeutic communication is sending a message from the doctor or nurse to the patient on the treatment or medication.
In the context of overall health care, therapeutic communication is communication that is established well and communicatively (easy to be understood), so it makes the patient feel comfortable and finally satisfied.
The basics of therapeutic communication can be divided into two parts:
1. Basic Communication Skills
Basic communication skills include hearing, self-opening, and self-expressing.
2. Advanced Communication Skill
Advanced communication skills include non-verbal language and understanding of the culture and gender.
Therapeutic communication between doctor or nurse and patient is very important because the therapeutic communication done well by doctors will expedite the treatment performed. This therapeutic communication must be done by a doctor or nurse in order to make the patient understand more about all the actions to be taken of him.
